By Terence Miselo

“Just before I release my new collaboration with Kenyan and East Africa’s number one female award-winning artiste my girl Akothee aka Madam Boss. I thought I give my fans something new and I call it ‘HELLO,’ ” says OC the Zambian singer-based in the US.

He speaks highly of his newly released song because it is a special gift for all his fans.

” This is just to express how I feel about my fans back home, my loved ones and how much I miss them. ‘Namifuluka bane’,” he says.

The song was released early this week and has received a huge response.

“I would like to thank all the fans, djs, promoters, the media and friends for the support and for holding it down with me,” OC says.

And OC adds that he is set to film his Collaboration titled “New Dance” with Akothee.

” In the song we talk about a new African dance as we exchange our cultures from Zambia and Kenya and the love between us. The Song was produced by Copperbelt’s upcoming producer ‘Jazzy Boy’ and mastered by Kenyas Producer ‘Totti’, ” he says.

” Akothee and I met at the 2016 Afrima Awards in Dallas TX USA and decided to work on a song. We had so much fun in the studio with so much positive vibes. She is such a beautiful soul, talent and down to earth star. During the recording we were joined by her manager Nelson, my brother Dj Flokid, Ricky Banda and Dj Cam at Mindset Music Studio.”

With this development, OC wishes to open up more doors and links for Zambian Music to the world.

” I believe together we can make it through. Thanx to all the fans and everyone for the support. My album is coming out soon. Love you all, ” said OC.

Danny charms Matero’s Monte Carlo

By Terence Miselo

Give musician Daniel Siulapwa any place and time to perform, as long as there is an audience, the man famously known as Danny Kaya will surely deliver. This was the case last Saturday night when he appeared for a show at Matero’s Monte Carlo pub located behind Matero Community Hall.

Danny who was in the company of his most reliable and trusted band Mo Fire featuring vocalists Titus and Naso was in high spirits to perform to an overzealous and ever-supportive audience gathered in an open air space.

Of course the show was meant to give the Matero residents a fair share of the ‘Yakumbuyo’ singer but Danny even gave a bonus to the guests by allowing his backup singers to showcase their skills.

For this reason, before Danny got on stage at slightly five minutes before 23 hours, Naso, Titus and the Mo Fire Band were in full effect to give out what they are known for. They were all good at giving out most of some old-favourite cover songs mainly from the classic 90s. This was all to the satisfaction of the audience that kept dancing to the beats. When Danny stormed the stage, the crowd became ecstatic and he used all his charms to keep it motivated. He sang his long hit collection of popular songs including ‘Can’t Believe,’ ‘Kaya,’ ‘Njelela’, ‘Tawaise Umboneko’ and ‘ Chimutunta’ among others to drive the show  into the early hours of Sunday morning.
