PRIME Minister of Ethiopia Hailemariam Desalegn yesterday arrived in Zambia to a thunderous and colourful welcome at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.
Mr. Desalegn’s Ethiopian Airlines plane touched down at 15:50 hours and was received by President Edgar Lungu, Minister of Foreign Affairs Harry Kalaba and permanent secretary Chalwe Lombe; deputy secretary to
Cabinet (Finance and Economic Development) Christopher Mvunga, defence chiefs and
other Government dignitaries.
He was accorded a 21-gun salute and later inspected a guard of honour mounted by the
Zambia Army.
The Ethiopian leader is on a three-day State visit and is expected to return home on
Friday.
