Dishonourable UPND MPs do it again

Dear Editor

Just what is wrong with the opposition UPND MPs?

This is the second time they are absconding from parliament addressed by the republican president Edgar Chagwa Lungu.

They did the same but later apologized and went back to parliament.

What is more shocking is that these so-called honourable MPs decide to follow the word of the master billionaire HH to shun national events and even not to recognize Chagwa as Republican President.

However, they are eager to go the Parliament building to be addressed by Inonge Wina the Vice President who is the running mate of Chagwa.

If these dishonourable men go back to Parliament then there is a serious need to examine their brains! For how long will they live in denial? Shame on you!!!!!’

Imitate President Lungu and mayor Kang’ombe’s humbleness

Dear Editor

I write after a thorough analysis of how most of our Zambian Politicians portray themselves to the general citizens in dispute resolution.

President Lungu has really shown civility, humbleness and respect for the voters whenever dealing with issues relating to the welfare of this nation.

Maybe his Military training compounded with his up bring in Chawama which is one of the densely populated Township in Zambia has really nurtured him to respect people of all walks of life.

Kitwe Mayor, Christopher Kang’ombe’s civility, intelligence and humbleness in dealing with issues relating to citizens in Kitwe on the other hand has been exemplary.

Definitely his COBUSU portfolio gave him a lot of accuracy and respect when dealing with conflict resolutions in Kitwe.

These two leaders are but among the few that really have respect for counsel, dialogue and mutual resolutions when it comes to those aggrieved.

We are all alive to how President Lungu handed over instruments of power to Dr Guy Scott with easy even when he was not supposed to Constitutionally do so.

I wish most of our civic leaders can take a leaf from such leaders and stop behaving as if they are bosses.

In politics world over, the bosses are the voters, that is why during campaigns many even go to the extent of kneeling down begging for their voters.

The stubbornness however being exhibited by some civic leaders after being elected into office leaves much to be desired.

Leaders should have a big hurt and treat their followers like their own children in their own homes.

Those dull UPND members of parliament?

Dear Editor

I think all male UPND members of parliament should start wearing skirts because they are NOT real men I thought they were.

Their conduct at Parliament is beyond description. They are a total shame and disaster and the best they can do is resign and call for by-elections in Southern Province.

Why in the name Holy Moses are they getting their salaries if they can shun parliament with such imprudent impunity.

If they are looking for sympathy from members of public let them ask for it from the Devil himself because to say their behaviour is childish is an understatement.

They are just bent on exploring the general hopelessness of their lives which they are free to do, but can they leave us out?

If their idea is to become most memorable persons in the room, I want to tell them they are simply driving some of us nuts. And they are exhausting, frustrating and annoying to deal with.

They are negative or abstruse people who seem chronically critical, loud-mouthed, piqued, angry, or just plain rude. What a waste of life!

Kudos Chililabombwe municipal council..

Dear Editor

I write to commend and actually congratulate Chililabombwe Municipal Council on their steadfast resilience to serve the border town better.

Its resolve to find land for a truck shop to de-congest both Chililabombwe town of unwarranted truck packing and Kasumbalesa border is a plus.

Unregulated parking by trucks in most towns actually make most towns look very filthy because drivers of the trucks tend to cook anywhere and litter the towns.

The resolve therefore for Chililabombwe to allocate land for the construction of the truck shop is very commendable and all well-meaning business houses should therefore come on board to make the dream come to fruition.

When that is completed, on it will also be away of generating much needed revenue for the Municipality through parking fees to grow the Municipality’s revenue base.

Once again, congrats Chililabombwe Municipal Council and keep it up.

Power is sweet

Dear Editor

Just what did Issa Hayatu the losing CAF president wanted to achieve that he failed in 29 years he was at the helm of CAF?I shudder to think that at his age he still wanted to run the beautiful game of football.

By the way is there no term limit at CAF? One can just say that power is sweet even FIFA president wanted to cling to power in the same manner our great Kalu wanted to cling to power even when one can easily notice that he has outlived his stay!!
