Government has concluded the selection of 11,276 successful health applicants whose names and details would be published in the print media today.
Addressing the media yesterday, Civil Service Commission chairperson Peter Mumba said the recruitment process has been concluded transparently and that the delayed announcement was due to the overwhelming number of applications and that the recruitment of health workers is unique and needed more time.
Mr Mumba said allocation of applicants per province are in Central Province over 7000 applications were received and only 1028 where selected, Copperbelt over 13000 applicants and 1289 selected while Lusaka had over 14 000 and only 976 selected.
In North western over 4000 applicants were received and only 930 selected, Southern had over 9000 and 1274 selected, Central Province 783 only 93 where selected.
Mr Mumba said 16 persons with disabilities have also been recruited and has urged those that have not made it not to despair.
He added that all successful applicants are expected to report on September 1, 2022.
Meanwhile, government spokesperson Chushi Kansanda says government remains resolute to fulfilling the campaign promises of creating jobs for Zambians.
