Arrest UPND’s cadres for buying pangas – Mundubile
says Police shouldn't wait for a massacre in Kapanda Ward by-election

LEADER of the Opposition in Parliament Brian Mundubile has urged police to urgently arrest a known UPND cadre, Wiseman, for buying several pangas ahead of Kapanda Ward By-election in Kasama.
Mr. Mundubile, who is also a PF Presidential candidate said that Wiseman bought pangas from a known shop owned by a man identified as Glenn in Kasama.
“As I was driving through Kasama at about 14:30 hours yesterday, I found a number of UPND cadres in a shop in full view of the people who maybe there, busy buying pangas,” he said.
Mr. Mundubile said the cadres were buying pangas and clearly planning to go into Kapanda Ward.
“The police are aware or should be aware by now that UPND are planning a massacre in Kapanda Ward,” he said.
Mr. Mundubile said he was disappointed that the cadres were buying pangas with nobody showing concern.
“It is indeed a source of worry that our security wings, people that are supposed to keep law and order and generally peace and security, can pay a blind eye and would want to act after the fact,” he said.
Mr. Mundubile urged Police to immediately move into Kapanda Ward and question the gentlemen who were buying pangas.
