ZAMBIAN FILMMAKER and actress Cassie Kabwita famously known as KING CASSIE says she is pleased with her new call as a ‘Rotarian’.
The multy-award winning actress and producer says she is motivated with the great works that the Rotary Club does worldwide and she is very excited to be part of it.
King Cassie Kabwita who visited the One Rotary Center at 1560 Sherman Avenue, Evanston, Illinois, Chicago ,USA a few months after being inducted as a member of the Rotary Club of Nkwazi in Lusaka, says she is having a whole new experience to life and social development.
Rotarian Kabwita who is temporarily based in Tanzania where she is working on AZAM TV productions was introduced to the Rotary Club of Nkwazi in 2022 by Past District Governor Victor paa Kwesi Menseh from Ghana.
Based on her contribution to the Zambian film sector, the club accepted her and was inducted as a member under the leadership of president Danny Museteka and the former Minister of health Dr. Brian Chituwo the membership Director of the club in July 2022 at Mulungushi conference center, also present at her induction was Innocent Kalaluka, the Rotary Club of Nkwazi immediate Past President Mr Chama Chishimba, former multi choice Zambia MD Mr. Simon Bota and many more club members.
Immediately after her induction, Cassie traveled to the United States of America for the African Film Festival in Dallas Taxas as an Ambassador of the festival, while in America she took the opportunity to visit the Rotary Club of Grandbury in Texas and she also visited the one Rotary Center in Chicago.
Rotary international is a nonprofit organization founded in 1905 by Paul Harris in Chicago at a place currently known as the One Rotary Center today.
