I AM convinced that President Edgar Lungu has forgiven embattled National Democratic Congress leader Chishimba Kambwili who accused him of being a drug dealer, says Mr Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba has.
Mr Mwamba, who is PF national vice chairperson for mobilisation, said he was very sure President Lungu had accepted the apology because his is a leader who does not hold grudges.
He said in an interview that Mr Lungu knew that the apology made by Mr Kambwili was genuine because of the wrongs he did.
“I am very confident that President Lungu has accepted that apology wholeheartedly. Mr Kambwili’s apology is not a fluke, Mr Kambwili knows that his home is PF and not UPND.
“UPND wanted just to use him. UPND also used me, they got what they wanted and almost got in power but thank God because the Almighty knew that if they got in power the country could have been in flames,” he said.
Mr Mwamba said Mr Kambwili did the right thing to apologise to President Lungu because the accusations were very wrong.
“We all make mistakes, I have made mistakes before but if you don’t apologise then you do not admit your mistakes, so Mr Kambwili has accepted his mistakes,” he said.
Mr Mwamba advised Mr Kambwili to rejoin PF because everyone, including the President, would welcome him.
