THE Patriotic Front (PF) in North Western province has welcomed the dismissal of Lucky Mulusa as Minister of National Planning and Development by President Edgar Lungu.

Meanwhile, the party in the province has welcomed the resignation of Harry Kalaba as Foreign Affairs Minister because he was not adding any value to the party.

Speaking in an interview with the Daily Nation, PF provincial chairperson Jackson Kungo stated that from the time he was appointed minister of National Planning, he had not done anything to improve the North Western province.

‘’And even after being appointed as Minister in-charge of National Planning, Mr Mulusa did not think of the province where he comes from because the ministry he was holding was key when it comes to the distribution of infrastructure development.

‘’Even the University the people have been crying about this time around it would have been a thing of the past,’’ Mr Kungo said.

On the political seen, the PF provincial chief said Mr Mulusa did not support the party.

‘’So, we support the decision by President Edgar Chagwa Lungu,’’ he added.

And Mr Kungo said though Mr Kalaba has resigned, the Zambian people still have confidence in President Lungu’s leadership and government.

He said the party is intact and the opposition UPND should not celebrate Kalaba’s exit from the ruling party.

‘’He has never been in any party structure, he has never been a Member of the Central Committee, so as far as we are concerned his exit means nothing to the party,’’ he said.

He said because of his presidential ambitions, he never defended the head of state at all cost.

‘’Every Lieutenant defends his commander, but it was the opposite with the former Minister of Foreign Affairs,’’ he added.
