THE MTN/FAZ Super division returns to action this afternoon with defending champions Zanaco seeking to reclaim the summit of the league table when they take on second-placed NAPSA Stars in a week 11 league fixture to be played at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.
Zanaco will seek to collect maximum points after their disappointing goalless draws in their last two league fixtures.
The Numba Mumamba boys went on to record a 0-0 draw with Zesco in their last fixture and recorded the same score line in a week 8 fixture against Nkana Football club.
Meanwhile, Napsa Stars will seek to maintain their perfect position on the league table as they occupy second position with 17 points on par with leaders Lusaka Dynamos who have a better goal difference.
Napsa head coach Tenant Chilumba said his team would prepare adequately for their week eleven MTN/FAZ Super division fixture against Zanaco.
Speaking during an interview after Napsa’s last Sunday’s barren draw against Red Arrows, Chilumba said his squad would be ready for the Zanaco side that walloped Cameroons Cotton Sport 2-1 in Saturdays CAF Champions’ league group D fixture played at the National Heroes Stadium.
“We host Zanaco and we are ready for them and the advantage is that we will have a full squad against the league’s defending champions,” Chilumba said.
Meanwhile, league leaders Lusaka Dynamos will seek to collect maximum points in their quest to maintain their top position on the table when they host 12 times league champions Nkana football club at National Heroes Stadium.
With only a point separating the two teams, the fixture is anticipated to be a tough game with both teams anxiously searching for maximum three points.
In other fixtures, Kabwe Warriors’ search for their first league win continues when Chintu Kampamba’s boys host Zesco United at Godfrey Chitalu stadium in Kabwe.
At Nkoloma stadium in Lusaka, Red Arrows will await the visit of Green Eagles who are without their head coach Manfred Chabinga who resigned following a losing streak by his team.
Third-placed Power Dynamos will seek to dethrone Lusaka Dynamos from top position on the league table when they host Nchanga Rangers at Arthur Davis Stadium in Kitwe while at the Dola Hill Stadium in Ndola, Forest Rangers will host struggling Mufulira Wanderers.
At the Edwin Imboela stadium in Lusaka, the Police sponsored Nkwazi will play Nakambala Leopards with Buildcon FC hosting Konkola Blades at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Lumwana Radiants will seek to redeem themselves when they host City of Lusaka having lost their last three fixtures while At the New Nakonde Stadium in Northern Province, Real Nakonde’s search for their second win of the season continues when they host Green Buffaloes.
