POWER Dynamos still have a chance of qualifying for continental football next season provided they work on the striking force, says former winger and goal poacher Kellies “Paymaster” Mwaba.

Mwaba said the league is still open for any team to claim the title and the Kitwe giants should not be ruled out.

He noted that Power, who are lying fourth on the FAZ/MTN table with 47 points, six behind leaders Green Buffaloes, must sharpen their frontline; which has proved blunt in the recent past.

“I believe Power still have an opportunity to win the title and qualify for continental football. Their current position is not bad and they just have to win the remaining games. They are just failing to utilise scoring chances. The strikers are not living up to expectations,” Mwaba said.

He advised the Alex Ng’onga led strike force to practice more often even when they are off club duties.

“The secret to good striking is practice. Even when the coach and everyone else are not watching, a striker should train on his own to become accurate,” he said.

Mwaba counselled the players to embrace discipline on and off the pitch if they have to succeed in their career.

He said adhering to head Coach Dan Kabwe’s instructions and self-discipline is key to the team’s success.

He called on the fans to offer the team full support and positive criticism.

Mwaba won the League title with Power in 1994, 1997 and 2000.
