AFTER three draws and three defeats in the last six games, Sensational Zanaco FC bounced back to winning ways by edging Trident FC to a 2-1 beating in a closely contested Week-20 fixture of the FAZ Super League at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.

The Bankers had captain Charles Zulu and Malawian international Chawanangwa Kaonga to thank for the win to complete a double over Trident who they had stunned 2-0 in the first-round fixture played on September 2nd, last year.

Zulu put Zanaco ahead with a goal from a penalty he had won ten minutes before the half hour mark when he was fouled inside the box.

The Speedy winger turned from scorer to assist when he set up Kaonga for Zanaco’s second goal which came a minute past the hour mark.

Striker Graven Chitalu was able to score the consolation goal for winless Trident FC in the 85th minute but it was too late to rescue them from avoiding a fifth consecutive defeat.

The win propelled the Bankers to eighth on the Super League table with 27 points while Trident remain bottom on the log with ten points collected from ten draws and ten defeats in 20 games.

Meanwhile Kansanshi Dynamos stretched their unbeaten run to four games after stunning NAPSA Stars 1-0 in a Week-20 fixture played at Nchanga Stadium in Chingola.

A first half goal from Davy Daka gifted Kansanshi the Crucial win after he converted a penalty won after NAPSA Stars defender Gift Zulu handled the ball in the eighteen-yard box.

The win escalated Kansashi Dynamos to 12th on the Super League table with 24 points while NAPSA Stars dropped back into the relegation zone where they seat on 15th position with 22 points after their latest defeat.
