Kambwili a hypocrite – RP

IT is hypocritical for Chishimba Kambwili to think that Zambians can vote for him and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to form government when he embraced the current government leaders he is now accusing of corruption, the Rainbow Party (RP) has charged.

RP Chingola district information and publicity secretary Humphrey Kabwe said it was deceitful for PF breakaway members, who had formed the NDC, to accuse the PF government of corruption as soon they left office.

Mr. Kabwe said Zambians were not dull to vote NDC into government in 2021 because its top leadership was not different from that of the ruling party.

He said it was low thinking for some people to push for the NDC to form government when the newly formed opposition party had no ideology and constitution.

“It is surprising to hear some politicians today making the loudest noise against President Lungu when they were in the forefront campaigning for him…NDC is poaching PF cadres whom it keeps on accusing of corruption. You cannot brand a political party corrupt but you are recruiting its members,” Mr. Kabwe said.

He claimed that NDC followers only wanted to feast on resources which its leaders allegedly plundered when they were in government.

“Politics is not about making the loudest noise or insulting more but vision, manifesto, ideology and constitution.

“Zambians have not forgotten who danced to ‘dununa reserve’ (PF campaign song) and campaigned for President Lungu. Zambians know the former ministers who have refused to pay back what they earned while they remained in government illegally, despite the Constitutional Court ruling,” he said.
