PATRIOTIC Front (PF) members have been implored to remain disciplined and loyal for the party to grow.

PF Luapula chairman Nickson Chilangwa explained that PF members were expected to operate by the rules and regulations set by the party in order for the party attract new members.

He urged them to maximise their loyalty towards the party and President Edgar Lungu

Mr Chilangwa said this in a meeting for all PF party structures in Kawambwa district.

And Chilangwa directed PF officials and cadres to always put on party uniforms each time they were attending functions.

Mr Mr Chilangwa, who is also Luapula Province Minister, said it was unacceptable for PF members to attend official events without party regalia.

He said the party had distributed enough chitenge materials, uniforms and caps as party regalia hence the need for everybody to use them.

He noted that wearing party uniform was a way of identifying oneself with an organisation to which they belonged.

“I have noticed a growing trend where some party functionaries were comfortable going for meetings leaving their regalia. This should stop.”

Mr Chilangwa described as lack of seriousness for members who were fond of leaving their uniforms whenever there was an official gathering.

“Let me express my disappointment here that the number of people clad in the party regalia is less than those in their own clothes, does it mean you are not proud of your party? Be proud, people who see you pass without a uniform when there is a party function doubt your political affiliation. So beginning now, let us all wear our uniform,” Mr Chilangwa advised.
