Editor,

This exercise which was done in three phases was a success and those who did the first and second exercise were paid in full but to our disappointment those that did the last exercise were not paid in full. It is so disheartening. Can the Ministry of Home Affairs intervene in this matter?  Citizen

ZNBC management

Editor,

ZNBC management should endeavour to be creative if they want to attract more viewers. People want to watch good programs like Frank Talk, Zilile Ngoma, TNA wrestling, Face to Face, MTN Super League, Barclays Premier League. The managing director Mr. Richard Mwanza and his team cannot tell us that the institution has no money. They are making lots of money through TV levy. They can also buy good movies with the help of Channel France International ‘CFI’.

To our new MP for Katuba

constituency

Editor,

Your people are still crying for a bridge at Chunga stream. Residents here are more than willing to contribute something for this. We will have nowhere to pass in the near future as more structures are being constructed across the stream. Please, visit us during one of our meetings even if it’s just for 20 minutes.

PF government

Editor,

The Patriotic Front government should be reminded that to attract good investors, the environment should be conducive. There are a lot of nasty things happening in this country which have kept good investors at bay. The abuse of parastatal companies, grabbing of land by PF cadres, hooliganism and threatening of ambassadors accredited to Zambia are some of the burning issues at hand. Which good investor can we attract if we continue moving in this direction? That is why we are only receiving foreigners who are coming to establish lodges, shopping malls and hotels. We must endeavor to attract investors who are coming to establish companies that make products like fertilizer, tyres, cooking oil, and blankets.

Corruption at ZRA

Editor,

The impounded truck loaded with salaula just paid K32, 400 instead of K170, 000. This is a complete case of corruption! Even a person without good sight is able to see this. Examiners and surveyors have done their work. Please, Mr Mutati and Mr Chanda, clean up ZRA!

Zambian businessmen and women

Editor,

We have a lot of people in this country who are stinking rich but are not helping the majority that are suffering. Even if you work for these rich people, nothing is going to change in your life. They are only interested in accumulating wealth for themselves. If you talk of social responsibility, they don’t want to listen because they are greedy! The issue of social responsibility is only adhered to by foreigners. What are the Zambian business men and women doing? What is better, giving your worker who is suffering money to buying a plot or giving money to your girlfriend who is just a prostitute?

Chilenje traffic police a disappointment

Editor,

I am very disappointed with our Chilenje traffic police and the council on the lawlessness occurring along Chilenje clinic road from Muramba road. Vendors and pirate taxis operators have taken over the area behind Choppies. They park vehicles on the road and do not care at all. Why can’t those people be removed and a better place found for them so that order is restored? If the law has failed them, the only option is to let the people who live along that road be relocated to another area so that the whole area is turned into a market.  Bwana councilor, we need action.

PF needs Independent MPs

Editor,

PF should stop pretending or is it its chief executive officer Davis Mwila who was beaten by an independent candidate who habours such bitterness against those MPS? Parliamentary business is about numbers and PF should just embrace those independent MPs because after all their DNA is PF.
