CLAIMS by Kafue Council Chairperson Buumba Malambo that she was cleared by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) are baseless because I was equally cleared after I was summoned but the police indicated that they would look into my alleged tribal remarks, says Chishimba Kambwili.
Mr Kambwili said that he was equally summoned by the ECZ where he presented his case and was cleared of any wrong doing and that it would be folly for Ms Malambo to claim that her case was different.
He said that he was shocked that the police had remained mute when Ms Malambo’s case which was similar to his had been reported by NDC faction secretary-general Charles Kabwita.
“What is different about my case, because I was equally cleared but someone went and reported me to the police so I just want the police to give their position because my understanding is that she was reported as well unless I’m mistaken,” he said.
Mr Kambwili said the onus was on the police not to be selective when conducting their duties but be impartial in their dealings.
