PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA GRANTS REGULAR RADIO/ TV CALLER AND COMMUNITY ACTIVIST PROUD THE PRESIDENTS INSIGNIA OF HONOUR AWARD.

PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA GRANTS REGULAR RADIO/ TV CALLER AND COMMUNITY ACTIVIST PROUD THE PRESIDENTS INSIGNIA OF HONOUR AWARD.

President Hakainde Hichilema has recoginised and honoured various individuals at today’s Investiture ceremony for their gallant service to the country to mark the 57th independence celebrations.

The following are the recipients of the awards:

Mr. KAMIMA NYRIENDA with the medal for gallantry.
Mr. Nyrienda a ZAF officer was awarded for his various aircraft rescue missions in his service.

Mr .HENDRIX LIBWE CHIKABO (posthumously) with medal for gallantry.
During an aircraft training operation that had gone wrong, Chikabo made a technique decision which saw him lose his life and save that of a senior colleague, who has since continued to serve in key national assignments.

Dr.Jacob MWANZA (middle)

Mr. Anderson Kambela(posthumously) Mazoka with order of the eagle of Zambia -second division. He was the founder member of UPND.

He served in various public and private office positions before he formed the UPND.

Mr. Mazoka came near to winning the presidential elections elections in the 2001 tripartite elections.

Mr. RAYMOND RADUSKI (posthumously) with order of grand companion order of freedom-first division.
He was a freedom fighter.

Mr.BUXTON MAAMBO with the order of grand companion order of freedom -first division.
He suffered a spine injury as a UPND leader, when he was trying to rescue someone who was trapped during a raid by police of the UPND secretariat.

Mr. OSCAR CHAPULA with order of distinguished service-first division.
He was awarded for serving Zambians that lived in Libya when the country was seized by rebels by flying them out of the country back to Zambia, through difficult circumstances.

Mr. CLEMENT ZULU with order of distinguished service -first division.
Mr Zulu, was honoured for serving many lives through his fire fighting skills.

Dr. JACOB MWANZA with order of distinguished service -first division.

He awarded for his massive contributions in the financial and economic sectors of the country.

Mr PROUD SICHABA with the president’s insignia of honour
Popularly known as Dr Proud-from-Garden.
He is a consistent community activist that calls into radio, live local and international TV discussion programmes. Several programmes hardly end without calling in to participate.

Mr. ELIJAH NGWALE with the president’s insignia of owner for his massive activism for rights of the disabled.

CHANDALALA KONDOLO with the president’s insignia of mercy for his charity activities for local communities in Northern Province.
