PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has called on the mining industry to contribute more to the country’s growth.
President Hichilema said it is disappointing that out of over 200 mines; only seven contribute taxes which in turn help develop the country.
Mr Hichilema said the country will not be the same if all viable mines contribute to the treasury. He was speaking when he opened the 2024 Zambia Economic Growth Forum in Lusaka yesterday. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
