Sexually starved man tears wife’s underwear in an attempt to make love

A 43-YEAR-OLD man caused laughter in Lusaka Local Court when he said that he has been tearing his wife’s underwear in an attempt to make love to her because she denies him conjugal right.

Gideon Homela, 43, a truck driver of Kabanana compound was testifying in a case in which his wife, Gertrude Nelela sued him for divorce.

The two got married in 2005 and have two children.

Nelela told Senior Court Magistrate Pauline Newa sitting with Magistrate Miyanda Banda at Matero Local Court that problems started in 2013 because Homela was making love to her young sister and that when she complained he would beat and mistreat her.

She explained that when her young sister fell in love with another man, Homela started differing with the man and that her young sister even reported him to Victim Support Unit.

Nelela said Homela even rented a house for her young sister where he was spending nights.

In 2015, Homela chased her in August 2016, they reconciled in September 2016 but he married another woman.

“Homela doesn’t make love to me and can’t eat the food I prepare. He accuses me of making his second wife’s pregnancies disappear. We have been on separation for a week,’’ said Nelela.

In defence, Homela admitted making love to Nelela’s young sister after his wife told him to marry her sibling so that wealth remained in her family as she suspected him of being a Casanova.

He explained that they differed with Nelela because he did not want her to wear tight clothes and long shoes. He said that he ended the relationship with Nelela’s sister in 2013.

“Nelela denied me conjugal rights for five months, so I tore her underwear in an attempt to make love to her,’’ said Homela.

Magistrate Newa said that there was lack of trust because Nelela said that Homela was sleeping with her young sister which he admitted, adding that there were no conjugal rights for five months.

She granted the couple divorce ordering Homela to compensate Nelela with K15, 000 with an initial payment of K1000 followed by monthly instalments of K500 and to be paying children maintenance fee of K400 per month. Property acquired together would be shared equally.

Husband beats wife for attempting to have sex with him

INSTEAD of fondling each other as husband and wife, a Lusaka man has taken to beating his wife whenever she attempts to make love to him.

This is in a case in which Justina Mtonga, 25, of Zingalume compound sued her husband, Zagwa Siliya, 28, a minibus driver of George compound for divorce.

The two got married in 2012 and have two children.

Mtonga told Senior Court Magistrate Abbyshine Michelo sitting with Magistrate Lewis Mumba at Kanyama Local Court that she stayed well for just a year because Siliya’s mother and sisters were interfering in their marriage.

She explained that later Siliya started beating her whenever she wanted to have sex with him and opted to be sleeping in the living room and refused to be touched.

In defence, Siliya said that he also wanted divorce because Mtonga insulted his mother and that what she told the court was just a pack of lies.

Magistrate Michelo said that there were problems in the marriage because Mtonga said that Siliya’s mother was interfering in the marriage.

He granted the couple divorce without compensation but Siliya was ordered to be paying child maintenance fee of K600 per month. Property acquired together would be shared equally.

Hubby who strips and beats wife divorced

A 27-YEAR-OLD woman narrated before a Local Court in Lusaka that her husband strips and beats her for no apparent reason.

This was heard in a matter in which Dorica Phiri of Linda compound sued her husband, Philip Mununka, 29, of Mimosa for divorce.

The two got married in 2015 and have one child.

Phiri told Senior Court Magistrate Abbyshine Michelo sitting with Magistrate Lewis Mumba at Kanyama Local Court that she stayed well for just a short time because Mununka started flirting with different girlfriends where he was spending nights and that when she complained he would strip and beat her.

She explained that Mununka told her that she did not like his child from his previous marriage.

Phiri added that Mununka packed and chased her, adding that they had been on separation for three weeks now.

She further said that when they wanted to sit and resolve the matter Mununka said that he did not love her and that he wanted to marry another woman.

In defence, Mununka denied flirting with different girlfriends but said that where they stayed, there were a lot of women and he normally fixed their electricity problems but Phiri accused them of being his girlfriends.

Mununka denied spending nights out and said that he also wanted divorce because they could kill each other.

Magistrate Michelo said that the marriage was short lived but there were serious problems and accusations.

He granted the couple divorce without compensation but Mununka was ordered to be paying child maintenance fee of K500 per month. Property acquired together would be shared equally.

Divorced wife refuses to leave matrimonial house without compensation

A 32-YEAR-OLD woman has vowed not to vacate the matrimonial home until her former husband gives her compensation.

Precious Mwangala of Nangoma was testifying in a case in which her former husband, Boyd Munalula, 45, of Old Kanyama compound sued her for eviction from the house.

Munalula told Senior Court Magistrate Lewis Mumba sitting with Magistrate Abbyshine Michelo and Esther Mulomba at Kanyama Local Court that he divorced Mwangala in the same court in July 2016 because she was flirting with another man.

Munalula said that after they divorced, she got the same man and started staying together in the matrimonial home and even has a child with him.

He further said that when they sat in Nangoma after divorce, Mwangala refused to vacate the house. Munalula produced the divorce certificate.

In cross-examination, Munalula said that he could sue the man for adultery because they already divorced.

In defence, Mwangala said that she refused to vacate the house because she was not given any money from the compensation of K10, 000 which Munalula was ordered to pay after they divorced.

She explained that Munalula got her goods and 15 bags of maize and took them to his wife in Lusaka.

But Munalula said that he gave Mwangala cattle and goats and that they signed with the committee that sat in Nangoma.

And Mwangala said that Munalula only rushed to court after she got a contempt of court and that he was told to bring compensation on April 6,

Magistrate Mumba said that Mwangala has a point of not vacating the house because Munalula did not follow the court’s order of paying her compensation to start her new life.

He dismissed the case and warned Mwangala to stop bringing men in the matrimonial house.

Wife dragged to court for being in possession of man’s clothes

A 35-YEAR-OLD man has dragged his wife to Court in Lusaka after he found man’s clothes in the matrimonial home.

This is in a case in which Dickson Lungu of Kanyama compound sued his wife, Misozi Lungu, 22, a maid, for reconciliation.

The two got married in 2010 and have two children.

Lungu told Senior Court Magistrate Abbyshine Michelo sitting with Magistrate Lewis Mumba at Kanyama Local Court that he was surprised that when he knocked off from work, Misozi could not welcome him but opted to just sit with her friends.

Lungu explained that he later heard that Misozi was going in bars with her friends when he was at work.

He was surprised that Misozi started denying him conjugal rights and did not know who shaved his wife’s pubic hair.

In defence, Misozi said that she was not seeing Lungu’s money and that she was surviving by doing piece works, adding that she even sent children to the village because life became hard.

She explained that Lungu did not buy her clothes but sent money to his village for farming.

“I got the man’s clothes from a tenant of my boss so that I send them to the village because she wanted to burn them. The person I got the clothes from is in court she can testify. It was only that Lungu did not give me chance to explain about clothes when he found them,’’ said Misozi.

She denied ever being found by her husband with shaved pubic hair.

The tenant of Misozi’s boss, Pauline Chilufya, 39, testified that her son wanted to burn the clothes which were of no use but Misozi and her friends got them.

Magistrate Michelo said that the explanation of Misozi and her boss‘s tenant, owner of clothes was clear unless he just wanted to divorce her.

Magistrate Michelo advised Misozi to stop drinking and he reconciled the couple on the basis that both were willing to do so.
