ECL escapes teargassing

FORMER President Edgar Lungu yesterday escaped teargassing by the State police at Twin Palm Police Station where he had gone in search of Emmanuel Jay Banda, who was abducted and was only saved by his security team that whisked him away minutes before the police could explode their canisters at his motorcade.

And by press time yesterday, police spokesperson Rae Haamonga said the police had not yet located or know the whereabouts of Mr Banda.

Hundreds of people, including former President Lungu and the family of Mr Banda were gathered at the Twin Palm Police Station where the abduction of the Petauke Member of Parliament was reported and just minutes after the former head of State was whisked away, teargas canisters were fired CLICK TO READ MORE
