SPEAKER of the National Assembly Nelly Mutti has thrown out the point of order that was raise against Petauke Member of Parliament, Emmanuel Banda for defying the ruling and directive of the speaker on the floor of the house on March 19, 2024.
Ms. Mutti ruled that the point of order was inadmissible for not being raised immediately after the alleged bleach was committed. She ruled that according to standing order 141 of the National Assembly of Zambia of 2024 states that a point of order maybe admissible immediately if it is raised immediately after the alleged bleach occurs hence the falling down of the point of order.
Ms. Mutti ruled that Mr Anakoka raised the point of order 35 minutes after the alleged bleach after the resumption of business when was suspended by the deputy speaker because of the disorder that was cause by click to read more
