REFRAIN from making up prophesies to sell your political agendas, the Christian Democratic Party (CDP) has warned opposition political parties.

Head of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, TB Joshua, has denied ever prophesying about Zambia’s 2021 elections adding that some media reports in Zambia suggesting that he had prophesied that President Edgar Lungu would lose the 2021 elections if he stood were mere rumours and were “100 percent false”.

But CDP president Dan Pule said it was both a sin and morally wrong for some opposition parties to try and drag the works of God in petty politics.

He told the Daily Nation that politicians who run out of ideas must not try to sell themselves by igniting unfounded rumours just to convince the electorate.

Dr Pule said it was unfortunate that some politicians had become so distressed that they had reach the extent of misusing God’s word to dupe people into voting for them.

He said it was obvious that politicians who initiated such strategies aimed at misleading people to lose confidence in the current President.

Dr Pule said politicians who were using such strategies should not be entertained as they had nothing to tell the people about what they would do once in power.

“Politicians riding on falsehoods to try and gain some political benefit are just losers, because they are failing to tell people what they will do once in power,”he said.

Dr Pule said it was a biblical fact that prophesy could be acted upon and future circumstances could change.

He said those trying to manufacture prophesies to change people’s minds  were just wasting their time as the  Bible clearly states that prophesy could be changed.

“We should understand that the Bible in Jonah 3:1 10 and Isaih 38:1-6 explains that when Christians pray against certain prophesies they do not happen, so even if these people continue lying, they should understand that their lies amount to nothing and only them who are not Christians should worry,” Dr Pule said.
