Revise agreements signed under AfCFTA, Musamba urges Government

DEVELOPMENT Expert, Charity Musamba has challenged the government to sign agreements aimed at promoting high value in the manufacturing sector.

Dr. Musamba said some agreements that have been signed in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) do not support growth of the manufacturing sector Dr. Musamba said the current agreements do not promote industrialization, which is the backbone of the manufactur­ing sector. She said this was the main reason why there were many un­employed skilled youths in the country. Dr Musamba urged the government to consider revising the agreements signed under the AfCFTA.
