Foremost, allow me space in your widely read newspaper to congratulate the Zambian U-20 team on beating Mali 6-1 in the Wednesday encounter which catapulted them to the semi-finals and the FIFA U-20 World Cup tournament slated for May in South Korea.

The young Chipolopolo’s rampaging on Mali at Heroes Stadium on Wednesday gives hope to Zambia that the country still has a reservoir of talent to be proud of.

As an ardent soccer fan, I would urge the lads not to relax in today’s game against Egypt which will be played at 15:00 hours at the Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

The young boys have shown the resilience to withstand pressure regardless of the opponent they may be facing. This kind of determination is not only inspiring but also the reason all Zambians be proud and give our player all the support they deserve in their pursuit for victory.

In my opinion, the U-20n technical bench should seriously consider maintaining the same team that faced Mali to guarantee replicating the score line in today’s encounter.

If at all there is need for changes, caution ought to be exercised in making such a decision.

Coming to the ever agile and vibrant 12th player, the soccer crazy fans, I urge them to cheer our young boys all the way to the 90th minute. It is obvious that with the support from all those that will make to the stadium and those watching the match on television, the boys shall die a little for the sake of mother Zambia.

Last but not the least, I think coach Beston Chambeshi deserves all the support to ensure that he can continue to shepherd the boys in the most prolific manner. So far, he has done the country proud by maintaining his cool and help the young Chipolopolo not lose focus.

The Country is surely behind you to carry the Zambian flag to higher heights like never seen before, even with a game to spare.
