Wynter to crash -East PF

JUSTICE Minister Wynter Kabimba will soon fall if he continues harassing party members and creating confusion in the PF, charges Patriotic Front (PF) Chipata Central Constituency Secretary William Phiri.

And Mr. Phiri has said that President Sata should cage Mr. Kabimba before the PF becomes a sinking titanic.

In an interview with the Daily Nation, Mr. Phiri who spoke on behalf of all the constituencies in the Eastern Province said that the down fall of Mr. Kabimba’s political career had drawn near and that he would fall soon.

“If he (Kabimba) continues like this his down fall is very near. This is not his party, this party was not made by one person, all those who had interest in removing the MMD from government came together and formed the party, and they had to put their resources together.

Now if Wynter doesn’t understand, let the President (Sata) himself who is the owner of the party discipline him. Wynter is not the owner of the party. The President to has come out in the open and tell us that (Lameck) Mangani is not a member of the PF then will understand that he is not a member because it is him (Sata) who signed on the adoption certificate,” said Mr. Phiri.

He said that what Mr. Kabimba was doing was divide and rule, then there would be a strong faction leaving the PF as a result of the irresponsible leadership being exhibited by Mr. Kabimba and President Sata.

“What Wynter is doing is divide and rule. you talk of Honourable Mangani, you talk about Defence Minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba (GBM), you talk about Chishimba Kambiwli and others, these are strong backbones of the party and now what he is doing if the President (Sata) is not going to cage Wynter, if he is not going to stop Wynter, we are going to have a very strong faction emerging from the PF that is going to defeat the PF,” he said.

And Mr. Phiri likened Mr. Kabimba to a sailor who feels comfortable being on a ship while the ship was sinking in deep waters.

He said PF members and those he was fighting were not his puppets but equals, who would not allow him to destroy the party to which he did not contribute much to its successes.

Mr. Phiri said, “Wynter is like a sailor in a ship who feels comfortable and little does he know that he is drowning the ship. He is in a sinking titanic. These people are not puppets of Wynter because his downfall is very near.

He will fall like the way the devil fell down from Heaven. His political future will capsize very soon. Lets us give him few months, he is going to fall, he will fall like lightening.

He said that it was sad that Mr. Kabimba’s pride had overtaken him and he was now so big headed thinking that he was in charge.

He said that it was unfortunate that Mr. Kabimba had a short memory about the membership of the party and how Mr. Mangani joined the PF.

Mr. Phiri said that Mr. Mangani was a legitimate and bonafide member of the PF unlike what was being said by the party’s Secretary General.

“We understand where these things are coming from, just a few months ago there was an issue of demanding that Mr. Kabimba relinquishes the position of Secretary General and Mr. Mangani’s name was earmarked to take over the position of SG. Mr. Kabimba has this hate for Mr. Mangani,” he said.Mr. Phiri urged Mr. Kabimba to realize that he has never been an elected Member of Parliament and his conduct was inimical to the PF.

“We don’t understand Wynter is behaving as if he has been sent by the opposition to destroy the ruling party. Wynter must know that he has never been a Member of Parliament elected by the people in his political life.

He has tried to contest in Mwembeshi where he comes from but has failed in all the elections he has contested,” he said.
