THE Teaching Service Commission says there will be no amnesty for all the over 491 teachers found with forged certificates.

Speaking in an interview with the Daily Nation, commission chairperson Stanley Mhango said those found wanting are imposters who do not deserve to be called teachers because they have questionable credentials.

He said the commission had already written to the Ministry of General Education to start the disciplinary process.

‘’And in the next two weeks, we are sitting to make a decision about those teachers,” he said.

He said since they were imposters and not teachers, they would be dismissed from the service.

‘’But we need to allow the due process of the law to take place. That is why we have even taken long,” he said.

He disclosed that though the names of the culprits had not published, some had started resigning on  their own.

‘’So, the law is very clear, those will actually be dismissed because they are not teachers but imposters, he added.
