DANGOTE Cement Plant management has rubbished allegations that the company has been selling its cement in bulk to India only.

Company chief executive officer Desmond Maharaji said the company had not placed any restriction on whom the product was being sold.

Mr.Maharaji said Dangote was selling its cement to any company or individual who was buying from six hundred bags of cement and above.

Ndola district commissioner George Chisulo says reports reaching his office were to the effect that Dongote Cement Plant was only supplying its cement to big companies owned by Indian companies and individuals.

Mr.Chisulo questioned why Dangote Cement agents were selling the commodity at the same price of K52 as the producer.

He noted that this clearly showed that there were hidden incentives that Dangote was not disclosing to Government.

Meanwhile Copperbelt Minister Bowman Lusambo pledged that government was going protect the company’s investments and that Dangote would in return protect its workers.

He said government would find a lasting solution to the challenges that the stakeholders and employees were facing to ensure that all stakeholders benefited.

The government officials visited the cement plant located in Masaiti District.
