CHISHIMBA Kambwili must stop projecting himself as a god by trying to create an empire on the Copperbelt because some of us know that he is just being loud-mouthed in order to hide his own misdemeanour, the Evangelical Youth Alliance  (EYA) has charged.

On Tuesday, Mr. Kambwili harangued Copperbelt Province minister Bowman Lusambo for allegedly causing confusion in the province, saying all the problems the PF was facing were attributed to Mr. Lusambo.

Mr. Kambwili charged that the only way to stop the hullabaloo on the Copperbelt would be to fire Mr. Lusambo, whom he accused of being the architect of resentment among both party members and the civils servants in the province.

“Copperbelt, yes, is in confusion and there is only one boy who has brought confusion and that is Bowman Lusambo. Fire Bowman Lusambo and there will be no confusion on the Copperbelt. Period! The truth of the matter is that confusion on the Copperbelt is there, brought by Bowman Lusambo, that is my opinion.

“To end the conflict on the Copperbelt is to fire Bowman Lusambo, that’s all!

“All the issues on the Copperbelt border on the behaviour of Bowman Lusambo. Bowman Lusambo is just a confusion, that’s all he is. Even where he came from, MMD, he was just a confusion and if people want to be economical with the truth, let them blame other people but for me, the problem is Bowman Lusambo, period!” Mr. Kambwili said.

But EYA executive director Moses Lungu jumped to the defence of Mr. Lusambo, saying Mr. Kambwili had contributed more problems in the ruling PF because he wanted to be worshipped simply for being among founder members of the party.

Rev. Lungu said Mr. Kambwili was “raffling feathers” because he was projecting himself as the indispensable one and a clone of the Pope himself, to whom everyone should pay homage but that such kind of politics was not only ancient but dangerous.

“Mr. Kambwili has always been very divisive by playing the divide and rule tactics to consolidate his grip on contracts he has been getting from the mines. He is projecting himself as a small god who should be worshipped by all so that he can create an empire on the Copperbelt and this is where he is at loggerheads with Mr. Lusambo.

“Mr. Kambwili wants to make an empire on the Copperbelt but he has become loud-mouthed at the same time because that is the only way he will hide his misdemeanour. He should realise that being a founder member of the party does not licence anybody to engage in mischief,” Rev. Lungu said.

He said Mr. Kambwili’s continued insults on Mr. Lusambo undermined the appointing authority’s intellectual capacity and put the systems that recommended that Mr. Lusambo be appointed as provincial minister to ridicule.

Meanwhile, PF deputy secretary general Mumbi Phiri advised Mr. Kambwili against pouring his outbursts on social media when he had grievances as there were proper channels to iron out differences.

Ms Phiri said it was unacceptable for a PF member of the central committee like Mr Kambwili to attack other members of the party on social media when the party had clearly laid down procedures of resolving differences.

“It would be prudent for Kambwili to say which minister he was talking about. That was too personal. Whatever grievances not on social media, we will be having our central committee meeting in two weeks’ time. If Kambwili has any grievances, he should adhere to what the president said,” Ms. Phiri said.
