SOCIAL Economic and Environmental Survival (SEES) has called on the Professional Insurance Authority to ensure that they regulate the practice of insurance companies and ensure professionalism and non-political interference in the sector.
SEES Executive Director, Reverend Moses Lungu, said this is because the Insurance sector plays a vital role in the lives of people.
Rev Lungu said the insurance sector if well harnessed has so much potential to trickle down economic benefits for the country.
He said it is therefore important that the sector is properly regulated for it to realise it’s potential.
Rev Lungu further cautioned insurance companies to avoid the habit of painting black other companies as this erodes the confidence that consumers have on the importance of Insurance.
