YOUTHS TO UNBLOCK RIVERSIDE DRAINAGE SYSTEM

ABOUT 20 youths will be hired to unblock the drain age system in Riverside ward under the K10, 000 Ward Development Fund (WDF),” Ward Councillor Alex Mwango has said During a meeting held at the weekend at the party of fices between the ward coun cillor and Ward Development Committee (WDC), it was agreed that the 20 youths who would be hired to unblock the drainage systems, will be paid K500 per month.
Before the decision was made, the councillor guid ed the meeting that since the amount was K10,000, the WDC should make a decision whether to hire 10 youths to unblock the drainage system and be paid K1000 each per month or to
hire 20 youths and pay them K500 per month. After the guidance from the councillor, the WDC and other stakeholders unanimously re solved that they should hire 20 youths to unblock the drainage system who will be paid K500 per month.
Mr Mwango said those who think the K500 was too little for them, they can leave it for those who ready to do the work because the whole thing was community work. “Yes, together with the WDC, we have resolved to hire 20 youths to unblock the drain age system in Riverside ward under the Ward Development Fund which is K10, 000.
