A JOINT team of officers from Kasama Municipal Council (KMC) and Zambia Police (ZP) yesterday removed street vendors.

The joint team swung into action as early as 03:00 and removed structures from the central business district.
The operation saw the destruction of all makeshift stands and structures in the town centre.
A check by the Daily Nation found police keeping vigil as they feared that irate vendors could conduct protests like their counterparts in Kabwe.
