THE Zambia National Service (ZNS) through its Eagle Milling Company has no capacity to satisfy the demand and market for mealie meal as its monthly production capacity of 15, 600 tonnes has always fallen far below the consumption capacity of 100, 000 tonnes per month, Antonio Mwanza has said.
Mr Mwanza, the deputy secretary general of the Socialist Party has demanded that the UPND government should explain why Zambia had become a middleman in the importation of GMO mealie meal from South Africa which is claimed to be exported to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
