POLICE PROBE BURUNDIAN BUSINESSMAN’S MURDER

POLICE are still probing the case in which a Burundian businessman in Zambia was killed by unidentified people.
Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said the police were still investigating the issue to try and establish the motive for the murder.
Mr. Hamoonga said they had so far not apprehended anyone in connection with the murder but investigations were still ongoing
Mr Christopher Nimbabazi, 29, a businessman of Burundian origin, was killed as he was entering his yard in the 10-Miles area in Lusaka on October 22, 2021 around 22:00 hours.
It was reported that unidentified people in a vehicle opened fire and killed him instantly. The assailants then sped off without taking away anything from Mr Nimbabazi.
Mr. Hamoonga said the police were working tirelessly to ensure that the perpetrators were brought to book.
He also called on the public to report to the nearest police station if they had any information regarding this case that may lead to the apprehension and prosecution of the people who committed the murder.
