More Students To Be Offered Scholarships

The plight of First-year students from the University of Zambia -UNZA- who have appealed to be included on the bursary list has been brought to the attention of authorities in the Ministry of Education.
Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board -HELSB- Chief Executive Officer IREEN CHIRWA says the Ministry of Education will guide the board on the way forward ahead of the commencement of the academic calendar in February.
Mrs CHIRWA has since urged the affected first year students to be patient as their matter is being addressed.
Meanwhile, the board has recovered K104m in the year 2021 above its target of K50m for the year.
Mrs CHIRWA told ZNBC news in Lusaka that this brings the total of recoveries to K199m from the year 2018 when the board started making recoveries.
