ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE MAY INTERRUPT QUALITY OF EDUCATION – NAQUEZ

THE National Action for Quality Education (NAQUEZ) has expressed fear that the emergence of Artificial Intelligence has posed the dangers of compromising the quality of education.

Artificial Intelligence is the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages.

There have been newly invented artificial Intelligence Applications that are designed to write assignments for students on any many subjects .

NAQUEZ executive Director Aaron Chansa said the use of such tehniques will compromise the quality of graduates that Universities will be producing .

Mr Chansa however said if well utilized, artificial Intelligence has the potential to compliment education and this can only be done by upgrading of the curriculum to align it with modern technological advancements in the education sector.
