HE MAY KILL ME , KEITH MUKATA’S WIFE TELLS COURT

By GRACE CHAILELESOETSA
KEITH Mukata’s estranged wife, Maricho Roisin Hoare has submitted to the Lusaka High Court that her husband is a dangerous person whose illegal actions places her life at risk.
Ms Hoare stated that she has been living as a destitute since November 21, 2021 when her husband took away the kids, the maid and locked their matrimonial house.
“That the respondent here is a very dangerous person. That knowing my husband, the respondent herein, he may just kill me through his agents and this is according to the conduct he has shown and demonstrated,” she stated.
This is a matter where Ms Hoare has sued Mr Mukata in the Lusaka High Court for divorce.
Last month, Mr Mukata applied for an interim protection order against his wife, alleging that she was unfit to look after their four children.
However, she also applied for an interim injunction restraining Mr Mukata from being near her as he is a threat to her life.
According to her reply to Mr Mukata’s affidavit opposing the application for an interim injunction, Ms Hoare stated that unless restrained, he would continue harassing her.
She has denied having a boyfriend by the name of Mr Mubanga nor abandoned the children.
“My lady, the respondent has the tendency of using domestic workers for other things under duress and the petitioner has had difficulties with domestic workers whenever the respondent gets in touch with the domestic workers. The respondent always influences domestic workers to do what he wants and that they should not take instructions from anyone else but him the respondent herein. He was doing the same with his guard at his law firm AKM Practitioners and when the guard refused his instructions, he was shot dead. This is the matter the people vs Keith Akakelwa Mukata of 2017. The respondent was charged and arrested again convinced on a murder charge,” she stated.
Ms Hoare stated that she is a good mother as she nurtured the children from birth and even at the time the husband was in prison.
Her prayer is that the court grants her the interim injunction.
