Leave HH out of PF wrangles – Hamasaka

By NATION REPORTER

IT has never been the interest off President Hakainde Hichilema to interfere and meddle in the internal affairs of opposition political parties, especially the Patriotic Front (PF) which has been engulfed in internal strife since losing power in 2021, State House has said.

Clayson Hamasaka, the Chief Communications Specialist at State House says the PF wrangles are but self-inflicted and the former governing party should leave President Hichilema out of their confusion.

In a statement yesterday, Mr Hamasaka said there was no way the President could interfere with the independent arms of government, such as Parliament and the Judiciary when the head of State was a strong advocate of the doctrine of separation of powers. Mr Hamasaka’s comment come in the wake of a flurry of accusations by some members of the opposition that President Hichilema had orchestrated the expulsion of the nine PF Members of Parliament by second deputy Speaker, Moses Moyo on Wednesday.
