MILES Sampa, the Matero Member of Parliament has charged that the UPND government is determined to convert Zambia into a banana republic by its continued undemocratic tendencies and total disregard of the rule of law in governing the country.
Mr Sampa says all the nine Patriotic Front (PF) law makers who had been expelled had been given amnesty and that the matter had been resolved amicably but that the Speaker decided to ignore the correspondence and moved to illegally expel them.
He said even if the UPND was insisting on making Zambia a banana republic, that action and formula which had been employed was an extreme, which was an exhibition of total dislike for the country by those in government. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
