GOVERNANCE Expert and Human Rights activist Wesley Miyanda has called on Zambians to critically assess their candidates before cosindering voting for them, urging voters to demand clear and realistic plans on how politicians intend to deliver on their campaign promises.

Speaking in an interview with Millennium TV, Mr Miyanda says citizens should not be swayed by slogans, emotions, personalities, or party loyalty, but instead carefully scrutinize each candidate’s manifesto and ability to improve livelihoods.

He stresses that politicians must be held accountable by clearly explaining how they will actualize their promises, particularly on addressing the rising cost of living, unemployment, and economic hardship facing ordinary Zambians.

Mr Miyanda notes that leadership should be measured by credibility, sound economic policies, and practical solutions capable of driving sustainable development and national stability.

He has since urged voters to choose leaders based on achievable plans and proven capacity to deliver meaningful progress for the country. - By MILLENNIUM TV
