THERE was drama in Parliament yesterday when, for the first time in Zambia’s Parliamentary history, the Executive in protest against the suspension of Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Brian Mundubile, caused a division, forcing first Deputy Speaker, Malungo Chisangano to call for the vote.
The Patriotic Front (PF) MPs with the support of Independents and some UPND lawmakers opposed the suspension of Mr Mudubile with the Pambashe Legislator, Ronald Chitotela stating that that it was the very first time in the history that the Executive had caused a division in the House.
