KALOMO PF CONFIDENT OF ECL VICTORY

By ANDREW MUKOMA

THE Patriotic Front (PF) in Kalomo District is happy with recently released opinion poll which predicts President Edgar Lungu winning this week’s election against his closed rival Hakainde Hichilema of the opposition UPND.

Kalomo District Chairman, James Chibanga, observed that the opinion poll was accurate and credible.

Mr Chibanga particularly agreed with the latest poll, Zambia Decides, which has tipped the head of state to have a 56 per cent landslide over Mr Hichilema who is expect to take his usual second position at 41 per cent.

The survey also indicates that 73 per cent of the sampled population indicated that they would participate in this election.

Mr Chibanga was confident that President Lungu would win next week’s elections because Zambians were convinced that he was hard working through developmental projects he has put up across the country.

But, Kalomo District UPND Chairperson Joshua Sikaduli disputed the opinion poll.

Mr Sikaduli said the surveys being conducted suggesting that President Lungu is likely to win the elections, will not change people’s will to vote for Hakainde Hichilema.
