THE church and some elderly statesmen in Zambia should sit down with Mr Chishimba Kambwili and help pump some sense in his head, Copperbelt Minister Bowman Lusambo has charged.

Mr Lusambo, who is PF Kabushi MP in Ndola, said the continued attacks on President Edgar Lungu by Mr Kambwili if left unchecked has the potential to cause anarchy in the nation and bring the Office of the President into disrepute.

He told the Daily Nation yesterday that Mr Kambwili’s incessant attacks on President Lungu should be condemned.

“I therefore urge the Church and some elderly statesmen in the nation to sit down with Kambwili and help pump some sense in his head,” Mr Lusambo said. He further warned Mr Kambwili that Zambians and PF youths in particular, will not tolerate his nauseating behavior advising him to stop this behavior.

He said Mr Kambwili will have himself to blame when people retaliate. “The Presidency in this country represents all of us Zambians and deserves to be respected.

“So let Kambwili stop these insults or President Lungu’s supporters will be left without any option but to react.

“We know that his big mouth and his brain do not correlate but that does not give him a licence to insult the President,” he said.

The Provincial Minister said Mr Kambwili was alone when he was committing the crimes for which the police are after him and President Lungu was not near him.

He also said Mr Kambwili’s empty allegations of corruption targeting members of the first family are nothing but cheap political shots.

He added, “So let him face the law alone and not drag innocent people in his misery.” He reiterated that one does not need to be a rocket scientist to deduce the fact that the insults Mr Kambwili continues hurling against President Lungu are motivated by personal greed and unfulfilled ambitions.

He charged that Mr Kambwili has continued demeaning President Lungu because he is envious of the powerful seat that Mr Lungu currently occupies.

Mr Lusambo further said President Lungu is busy working to transform the lives of Zambians adding that it would be unfair that cheap characters like Mr Kambwili should disturb his agenda by insulting him every day.
