Govt ignoring land issues

Editor,

Why is the minister of Lands and area MP ignoring the land issues in Emmasdale? Foreigners are getting our land some of which is reserved for roads. Please look into this. And also a certain church was given land by the government but they sold it to foreigners.

 Baseless talk

Editor,

Utterances by one of the opposition leaders that President Lungu caused the death of victims is hypocritical and baseless. No leader in ECL image would sink so low in seeing people die hence his full involvement as commander of armed forces commanding the clean-up exercise in full view of all Zambians  and visiting the dirtiest area at city market. Where was HH and his party to just come and yell as if from a dream that ECL is the causer of these cholera deaths? This ranting is a way of swaying government attention on cholera. This is useless accusation which deserves no merit.

 Foolish accusations

Editor,

Only a fool would condemn the measures being taken by government to arrest the wild spread of cholera in Zambia. The heaping of the blame on the President is not fair and is coming from failed politicians who have nothing to offer but merely want to win a political mileage on a calamity. This goes to show how hypocritical these desperate politicians are to go to State House and not having people at heart. They thought vendors would riot on the day they were moved out of the street. Opposition has lost its meaning because they lack initiative and fail to read the mood of the citizens. People are with PF.

 Parents of today

Editor,

I am upset, shocked and annoyed with many parents of today who prefer to buy their children hoes for farming than to find them a place to go to school, mainly Muchinga province. Now I want to ask them that if you suffered all your life why would you like your beloved children to also suffer the same way you did than to take them to school. Look at Nigerians who speak English fluently like the people in Asia and compare it to Zambia where even a grade 12 can fail to speak English. I want the ministry of Education to find a way to punish those parent.

 Lets pray for rains

Editor,

Drought of 2018 rain season attracts all chiefs to start praying in accordance with our African tradition culture beliefs and norms in addition of the Christians prayer to defuse the cholera, crops army worms and cattle diseases.

Opposition parties not  democratic

Editor,

Those newspapers and the so called NGOs calling for PF to exercise and practice Intra-party dialogue must tell those parties run by dictators to emulate PF. Surprisingly to note that these NGOs never called for Intra-party dialogue when Dr. Canicius Banda, Mr. Mumbi and Mr. Kapita left UPND. Democracy prevails in PF, Likwekelo, Miles Sampa and today Tutwa Ngulube. Please be reminded that of the saying that “can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?” It takes a noble person to realize his mistake than to force one to toll the talk. We are yet to see Intra-party mood in UPND.

Don’t go to sleep again

Editor,

Now that the security wings have cleaned up Lusaka, our Lusaka town now looks more civilized and healthier although there are some vendors still trading at robots and roundabouts, more so around 17:00 hours. These too must be caged. There is also the issue of stones lying around the clean streets. This is a Lusaka City Council job and they must remove them now. Shop owners must paint their shops and mend potholes in front of their shops to improve the city outlook.

Jack Phiri, Lusaka.

 Zambia red cross still sleeping

Editor,

Bravo to the men in uniforms, cooperating partners, business entities, the health workers and the general public their cooperation in the fight against cholera but where is Red Cross because this is the time that they are supposed to work with others. If they cannot help in this situation then which one are they waiting for?

Aggrey Nyirongo, Lusaka.

Why Chinese reservists, IG must explain

Editor,

At the rate we are moving I won’t be surprised if we wake up to a sold country. Employees in the police force are not allowed to marry foreigners but why then employee foreigners to work in our government and can a Zambian be given such a post in their own country? I don’t think so. Please let’s not just wake up and make such decisions anyhow, they will cost us in our own country.
