AS the nation’s largest brewing group, we will remain committed to long-term growth and investment in Zambia by promoting not only Zambia’s tourism but also its cultural heritage, Zambian Breweries managing director Annabelle Degroot has said.

Speaking during the Mosi relaunch in Lusaka yesterday, Ms Degroot said that her company’s dream was to bring people together for a better world through their products, brands and investment in their communities.

Ms. Degroot stated that her company’s desire was to see to it that consumers around the world were provided with more choices to benefit from the group’s broad distribution network and strong brand-building expertise.

Zambian Breweries rebranded Mosi larger in Lusaka on Thursday evening, in an effort to raise the standard and image of the corporate and product brands.

The glittering ceremony was attended by acting permanent secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Arts Zachariah Luhanga and other dignitaries.

Ms Degroot explained that the rebranded Mosi had the same taste and contents.

“Whilst Zambian Breweries Plc is genuinely committed to playing a meaningful part in raising the standard and image of the corporate and product brands however, the taste as well as the contents of the rebranded Mosi is still the same. Even human beings change clothes to look more attractive,” she said.

She added that ZB would continue to develop business in partnership with its suppliers and that it remained committed to helping farmers, retailers, entrepreneurs and communities thrive.

She stressed that the nation’s largest brewing group was committed to long-term growth and investment in Zambia and advised consumers to avoid driving when drunk.

“Zambian Breweries Plc will continue to focus on long-term growth and investment in Zambia and will continue to produce our Mosi, and other brands for our loyal customers, and we also look forward to introducing new premium brands in the future.

“We would, however, like to caution people to drink responsibly. They should take care, avoid drink-driving and find alternative means of transport in case they decide to drink,” Mrs Degroot said.

Mr. Luhanga said with support from partners such as Zambian Breweries, the Government could promote Zambian art and culture to greater heights capable of making a significant contribution to the country’s GDP.

“This Mosi relaunch is particularly exciting and as a ministry we are proud to be associated with the Mosi Day of Thunder as well. This will go a long way in promoting not only our tourism but also our cultural heritage,” he said.

“Zambian Breweries has been a good partner and we look forward to having them as our lifetime partners in developing Zambia,” said Mr Luhanga.
