Ngwerere water supply to receive boost

A CONTRACTOR has been selected to work on water pipes to boost water supply in Lusaka’s Ngwerere ward 19, says Patriotic Front area councillor Adrian Banda.

Mr. Banda said he had a meeting with contractors from Elevo who are to start working on water pipes in Ngwerere ward aimed at boosting water supply in the ward.

In an interview over the weekend, he expressed hope that residents of Ngwerere, Garden and surrounding communities would soon receive good supply of water once the project was concluded.

“I had a meeting with contractors from Elevo who are intending to start working on water pipes in my ward to boost water supply in Ngwerere ward 19,” he said.

And the civic leader thanked Mandevu Member of Parliament Jean Kapata for her monthly visits and routine check-ups on development projects in Garden and other wards.

He said Ms. Kapata had initiated various projects which were on-going and others to be implemented like the first level hospital and all roads within Garden township.

Mr. Banda urged all residents to take advantage of Ms. Kapata’s presence every Friday at her office were she meets people of Mandevu constituency by going there with whatever issues they might have.

He said a women market would soon be constructed and a mothers’ shelter at the clinic had been put up under the leadership of the parliamentarian.
