DESPERATION, FEAR GRIPS UPND – KAMBA

DESPERATION, panic, and fear have possessed the UPND over the massive development projects that Government has continued to deliver to its people, says PF Lusaka Province youth chairperson Kennedy Kamba.

Mr Kamba said the development projects had a huge bearing on the 2021 elections and this was why UPND were running like headless chickens trying to block some of them on alleged corruption.

He said the hullabaloo surrounding the construction of the mega Lusaka-Ndola dual carriageway had nothing to do with alleged anomalies in the tendering process.

Mr Kamba said attempts and calls for the cancellation of the project were ill-conceived and should never be given any attention as those opposing the project were doing so in a futile attempt to make the PF lose track and fail to deliver to the people of Zambia according to their 2016 campaign promises.

“UPND wants us not to deliver on our campaign promises so that they use that as their campaign message in 2021 but they will fail,” Mr. Kamba said.

He said the UPND was doing itself a disservice by its continued agitation and confrontational way of doing politics as Zambians were not interested in lies but progressive ideas to foster national development.

“UPND is missing a golden opportunity to provide credible checks and balances and offer workable solutions to challenges facing this country because to them, everything must be politicised. Where Zambians expect them to sober up and provide proper guidance, they have always missed the point because they think they will make it by demonising those in power every day.

“Zambians are not gullible. They know who means well and who are up to propagate their own selfish motives and this is why UPND’s political fortunes are dwindling every day. These by-elections we mopped up last week are an indication of what is coming in 2021 and since the UPND do not want to change their strategy even after losing so many elections, they will cry again,” Mr Kamba said.
