ROAN Member of Parliament Chishimba KwambwilI has praised police for the manner they handled the Mufulira fracas where Patriotic Front (PF) cadres reportedly attacked National Democratic Congress (NDC) members during a meeting on Sunday.

Mr Kambwili said he was happy that police were not intimidated and instead acted in a professional manner during the fracas in Mufulira.

He condemned the PF cadres for disrupting the NDC meeting in Mufulira on Sunday.

“Every time there is violence, the PF say its UPND but now they UPND are vindicated, it’s the PF who are violent,” charged Mr Kambwili.

Speaking at press briefing in Ndola, Mr Kambwili said he had forgiven the PF cadres.

And the expelled PF member said his association with NDC was on consultancy basis but that if the worst came to the worst, he would have to associate himself with a political party.

“When the worst goes to the worst, I need to have a political party to associate with. They question why I associate with NDC. But the president of MMD is the finance minister in the PF government,” Mr Kambwili stated.

He said the UPND had been vindicated by the violence exhibited by the two PF cadres and the provincial leadership.
