THE Kasempa Mumbwa road is in a deplorable state a situation that Kasempa Town Council chairperson Stanley Kaindu has described as not pleasing.

In an interview with the Daily Nation, Mr Kaindu stated that the road has become impassable owing to heavy rains the area is experiencing and heavy trucks using the road. He said the road is very economical hence the need for quick intervention.

“The current situation on the Kasempa Mumbwa road is not pleasing at all, the road has totally become impassable because of the rains,” Mr Kaindu said.

He observed that if the situation is left unchecked,  no vehicle will be able to pass through that road. “Currently,  small vehicles can’t pass through unless bigger trucks, ” he added.

He appeled to both the district and the provincial administration to quickly find means and ways of rectifying the situation.

By press time, both Kasempa District Commissioner Goodson Sansakuwa and Provincial Permanent Secretary Ephraim Mateyo could not be reached for a comment.
