The Patriotic Front Central Committee has been urged to be diligent, just and compassionate in the manner it dealt with the accusations against foreign Minister Given Lubinda who has already been tried and found guilty by the Media.

Kabwata Constituency members have since petitioned the Central committee on the matter to take into account the fact that Mr. Lubinda was popularly elected and yet the decision to remove him would be made by people who have refused to disclose publicly reasons for his removal.

Lusaka businessman Brebner Changala said it would be unfair and unjust if Lubinda’s political career was to be terminated through malicious innuendo, character assassination and lies peddled by those who wanted to usurp power.

“I know that pressure to expel Lubinda is coming from people outside PF especially those with strong ambitions to lead and govern the country outside the established systems. “ he said.

He added that it would be unfair that the guilt verdict published in a local paper would be sustained by the Central Committee without thorough scrutiny of the evidence and facts “It is important that every member must be satisfied that there has been a case made.” He said.
