Mr Chishimba Kambwili and his miscalculations

Editor,

I would like to advise Mr. Chishimba Kambwili to read history books before he becomes irrelevant to the Zambian politics. He must know that there is no permanent friendship or enmity in politics. He reminds me of the late Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe who was a childhood friend of Super Ken but Kapwepwe’s ending was a very sad one. Those who were there will remember how he was badly beaten in Kamwala area by UNIP youths. This history is important for Mr. Kambwili. The youths that he once led can be unleashed against him if he differs with the powers of the ruling party. The crowd that Mr. Kambwili pulled was a result of the PF party.

Shame on you Dr Scott

Editor,

I am so disappointed with our immediate past republican vice-president, Dr. Guy Scott for criticising President Lungu and the PF. Dr. Scott, we Zambians are very much aware that you and our late President Michael Sata and my brother Wynter Kabimba were leading architects of the PF and expert authors of its manifesto and other party policies. Therefore, if indeed Zambia is dying of debt as he alleged in the Mast newspaper dated Monday January 9th, 2017, then he is condemning himself and his late best friend.

Opposition leaders

Editor,

What does the Constitution say about people rejecting a presidential candidate four to five times? Some have just tried once and they have managed but some have been trying for five consecutive times. Some opposition leaders must start by cleansing themselves before they cleanse other successful leaders. Grow and own up please! We are tired of seeing your tears.

That Kalu voting

Editor,

Kalu’s voting pattern came as a rude shock to many but certainly not with me. I am talking of a man with the ‘I know it all mentality’ who enjoys being at the receiving end of every kudo. Kalu will stop at nothing in trying to frustrate anyone who is getting closer to breaking his record. I hope for now, people have realised why Charles Musonda would not allow his children to play for Zambia when Kalu was FAZ Chief.

Kalusha Bwalya stop being jealous

Editor,

It is so disheartening to see Kalusha Bwalya giving Kalaba a least vote as a fellow Zambian. Why not support your own brother? I know Kalusha doesn’t want any Zambian player to support him. Kalusha Bwalya, you are a disgrace. Your time is gone, let young players shine also.

Bravo Barclays Cup tournament

Editor,

Zambia needs more cup tournaments to promote competition among teams and provide bigger reservoir from which to choose national players. First, let me salute Barclays Bank Zambia for its continued sponsorship of Barclays Cup since 2007. I challenge other business houses to consider coming together to sponsor other cups to enhance competition among local teams. Barclays Cup tournament does not only provide an opportunity for fans to watch the country’s finest players on the pitch but also provide an opportunity to the sponsor to sell their products.

Youth Empowerment Fund

Editor,

When will the youths that successfully applied for funding get their money? It is so disheartening to learn that Government has given a deaf ear to the plight of the youths.

Manchester United supporters are arrogant

Editor,

One radio presenter said Manchester United supporters are arrogant. As a die-hard supporter of this team, I want to say we are not arrogant. We are just protecting a team that belongs to us. Be reminded that Jose Morinho is a manager who has no respect for players. When he arrived at Old Trafford, he wanted to sell all veteran players like Marcos Rojo, Maraune Fellaine, Dally Blind, Barstian Swanstiger and a number of young stars. He proved to himself that arrogance does not pay. Lastly, this time Morinho is thinking from his head and not from the stomach.
