Mundubile applies for joinder in Moses Sakala matter over Parley allowances

By GRACE CHAILE

CONSTITUTIONAL Court Judge Kenneth Mulife will on February 20, 2024, hear Brian Mundubile’s application for joinder to a matter in which a PF member is seeking an order that the Mporokoso Parliamentarian pay back all monies and monetary benefits obtained during his tenure as Leader of the Opposition.

Mr Moses Sakala contends Mr Mundubile was illegally appointed to the position as no elections were held in line with article74 (2) of the constitution.

Mr Sakala alleged that the Speaker, Nelly Mutti, violated Article 74 (2) of the constitution and National Assembly Standing Order 43 when she acted on the letter notifying her of the appointment of Mr Mundubile.

He cited the Attorney General and Mr Morgan Ng’ona, (PF Secretary General) as respondents to the petition.

Mr Mundubile has sought for leave of the court to join the proceedings in the matter as he would be affected by the outcome of the case.  CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
